Pemberton Greenish take our responsibilities as a business and an employer very seriously which manifests itself through our support of local charities, arts and other activities; adopting a responsible policy to ensure minimisation of waste; by looking after our staff and by sharing our legal knowledge with those who are not in a position to pay for it. We believe that for a firm of our size our contribution in these areas is second to none.

PG Charity – Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre

We have chosen a locally based charity to support with fund raising activities throughout the year and by choosing a small charity we hope that our donations can make a real difference. Currently we are supporting the Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre who provide the opportunity for disabled and inner city children to learn to ride and care for horses and ponies.

Our support to WSPC is both in the form of donations and activities to help the centre promote the benefits of riding to the inner city and disabled children who go there. We support them in their marketing activities, providing design expertise and print production for them and we recently held a dressage display and aftershow party for them which attracted over 100 children coming to the centre. The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all and more information on the event can be seen here.

In supporting our chosen charity we are partnered by John Lyon's Charity, a substantial grant making charity operated from our offices with its own professional staff.

Pro Bono Work

We recognise that not everyone is privileged enough to be in a position to pay for good quality legal advice and therefore seek to address this by providing free legal advice to certain individuals and charitable organisations. We consider this to be the most cost-effective use of our time – concentrating on what we do best.

We have therefore joined LawWorks, which is able to act as an intermediary between those needing advice and solicitors who are able to provide that advice. We have for example recently completed a landlord and tenant mediation on behalf of tenants.

The Environment

We are conscious of the environment around us and we engage staff in initiatives to reduce electricity and gas usage and limit the use of paper where possible.
