Pemberton Greenish Recess Garden Wins Medal at the 2008 Chelsea Flower Show
The Pemberton Greenish Recess Garden, which was opened by Surrey cricket star Mark Ramprakash (who donated various cricket memorabilia to Capital Kids Cricket), was awarded the Silver-Gilt medal and became one of the crowd favorites at the 2008 Chelsea Flower Show.
The show, which ran from May 19 – 24, was garden designer Paul Hensey’s first visit to Chelsea. "Naturally I am over the moon," said Paul. "it still seems amazing that a germ of an idea, born out of my relationship with Neil Lucas of Knoll Gardens has suddenly come so far."
This was also PG's first sponsorship at the show. 'We knew from the moment we met Paul and learned of his vision for the garden that he was a rising star, said Senior Partner Damian Greenish. We are delighted to have been able to help him turn that vision into a glorious reality.'
In addition to Chelsea, Paul designed a Show Garden for the Samaritans at Tatton Park in July. He has been dubbed the 'one to watch' for 2009 – and we couldn't agree more.
