Pemberton Greenish - The First Decade

As the firm marks its tenth anniversary we have taken the opportunity both to reflect on our first ten years and to plan for the future. In many ways the firm has proved more successful than we could have envisaged when we started on 1st November 2000.

We have established an enviable reputation as the preeminent firm advising London estates and in the area of leasehold enfranchisement but at the same time have built up our reputation in all areas of property and private client law. It says a lot about the success of the business that ten of the original twelve partners who set up the firm are still with us.

But we recognise that no business can afford to stand still. For that reason we have developed a new business plan which will see us building on our strengths and developing them over the next few years. The most obvious manifestation of this has been the move to 45 Cadogan Gardens which has been hailed by clients and staff as a great success.

At a time when many firms are standing still we are expanding. We have recently kept on both of our trainee solicitors this year, Elizabeth Irvine who has joined the private client group and Amy Ridley, who has joined our residential property team. We will soon be welcoming a new partner, Henry Bowman previously at Denton Wilde Sapte who specialises in construction law, an area where we have identified a growing demand from our clients. We have also just welcomed Mark Ridley who has merged his highly regarded property and company practice in with us. And in January we will be joined by David de Maupeou a senior assistant in commercial property who joins us from Macfarlanes. We expect other appointments to follow.
