Commercial Real Estate team advises The Eyre Estate on major acquisition

Pemberton Greenish has advised long-standing client, The Eyre Estate, on the acquisition of 28 Kirby Street, London EC1 from Seven Capital Partners and Mercer Real Estate for £14.34m. The building had been refurbished by the vendors to provide 4 floors of office accommodation and 5 apartments with the offices entirely pre-let to Tesco to house its internet businesses.

This deal follows a number of diverse transactions concluded recently by PG for The Eyre Estate and The Eyre Estate Investment fund including the acquisition of prime retail accommodation at 3 Cornmarket and 6-7 High Street, Oxford and the forward funding of a 230 unit student housing scheme in Durham and supermarket schemes for Sainsbury’s at Sedgefield and Waitrose at Alton.

Head of Commercial Real Estate, Jason Tann, led the PG team assisted by Senior Associate David de Maupeou and Construction Partner, Henry Bowman. A team from Shoosmiths, led by partner Chris Dewes, acted for the vendor.

Jason Tann commented "This was a good deal for the Eyre Estate in a very competitive market and represents further diversification to their already very interesting portfolio of retail, office and residential property investments."
