Damian Greenish - Chairman
Damian graduated from Warwick with a degree in Economics. Moving to the Law, he became an articled clerk with the firm of Lee & Pembertons in 1974 and qualified as a solicitor in 1979. He became a partner and head of the property department in 1980. Following the demerger of Lee & Pembertons, he became Senior Partner of Pemberton Greenish on its formation in 2000.
Damian Greenish primarily advises the owners of landed estates within Greater London but also acts for many other private landlords, investors and tenants. His principal clients are the Cadogan, Crown, Sloane Stanley and Portman Estates. He has been, since 1992, a Trustee of the Sloane Stanley Estate, a mixed-use Estate in west Chelsea.
His particular area of expertise is in the field of leasehold enfranchisement. He is the co-author of the leading textbook on the subject, Hague on Leasehold Enfranchisement, the fifth edition of which was published at the beginning of July 2009. He regularly writes, lectures and chairs conferences on the subject of leasehold reform and he is a member of the residential management committee of the BPF.
Damian is a member of the Chelsea Arts Club, Surrey County Cricket Club, Piltdown Golf Club and The Armadillos Cricket Club.
