- Advised landlords and tenants on claims to acquire extended leases of flats pursuant to the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 and on claims to acquire freehold property pursuant to leasehold reform legislation.
- Advised tenants both individually and collectively on tenure structures to enable acquisition of freehold property pursuant to leasehold reform legislation.
- Advised landlords on schemes to protect property from statutory rights in favour of tenants.
- Conducted numerous landmark leasehold reform cases at the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal/ First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber)
- Advised a landlord charity in obtaining vacant possession of property with valuable redevelopment potential following the expiry of a long lease which was potentially subject to statutory rights in favour of the tenants to acquire the freehold.
- Advised tenants collectively claiming the freehold of property in prime central London against a major landlord seeking to overturn established valuation principles to achieve an inflated price.
