Pemberton Greenish advises Native Land on the forward sale of Burlington Gate
Pemberton Greenish has advised new client Native Land on the forward sale to the Pollen Estate of the retail elements of its mixed use development at Burlington Gate on Old Burlington Street, for an initial price of £35 million. This forms part of our wider instruction for Native Land on the disposal of both the retail and residential parts of this development.
Burlington Gate comprises 25,000 square feet of retail space (which has been specifically designed for art gallery use) and 62,500 sq ft of residential space comprised in 42 residential flats.
It is designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and is due for practical completion at the end of 2016.
Real Estate partner David de Maupeou led the Pemberton Greenish team. A team from Eversheds, led by partner William Naunton and senior associate Robert Pollok advised the Pollen Estate.
David de Maupeou commented:
“This has been another exciting year for Native Land and we were delighted to act for them on this high profile sale to the Pollen Estate. Burlington Gate will undoubtedly become a stand out scheme at the very heart of prime central London. From our perspective, we particularly welcomed the opportunity to showcase on a very high profile scheme our ability to advise on all aspects of mixed use development by combining our full service commercial real estate team with our award winning residential practice.”
